Tuesday, November 17th

It was Nine's BDay! Woo hoo! We gave her a call from Gloria Jean's Coffee Shop where we have religiously been stealing WiFi.

Epiphany #1: Aussies will not drink Fosters. It is blasphemous to even suggest it. However, it is the #6 most popular beer in the world. Meanwhile, Yellow Tail was not even sold in Australia until about five years ago. And now that it is sold domestically it costs about twice as much as it does in the states. Go figure. This is the Carlton Brewhouse where Fosters and VB, the beer that Aussies really drink, are brewed and bottled. The brewery was really phenomenal though - the #1 most "green" brewing facility in the world... unfortunately we weren't allowed to take photos inside. Sorry!

It was a long rainy, nasty day... more drinking...

Next up we went over to the Mt. Nathan Winery. The property where the winery is situated in the foothills of Tamborine Mtn, QLD. So it was gorgeous. Unfortunately two busloads of Chinese tourists had just pulled up so we grabbed a bottle of Sav Blanc and went outside to play with the sheep. Asians are afraid of livestock.
