Byron Bay = Austin + Ocean. It's fabulous. The only downfall? Schoolies. Apparently once a year every high schooler in the country makes a pilgrimage to the East Coast and consequently a bunch of drunk kids take over the beaches (and bars. The drinking age is 18). About 20,000 of them showed up in Byron Bay while we were there.
While we were avoiding the schoolies...
